About me

Hello. My name is Preston Lee and I am an award-winning independent advertiser and graphic designer. I love to work with clients to solve problems, make companies and organizations better, increase sales, and make a difference.
I have worked in the industry for a number of years, completing various projects for a number of clients and I also worked for a short period of time at a production house doing primarily graphic and web design.
I am absolutely entrigued by the growth of online media and love to consider the possibilities there are to help businesses grow through non-tradtitional advertising.
Although I enjoy non-traditional advertising, I thoroughly enjoy more tradtional means of visual communication - like graphic design. I enjoy designing logos and collateral for businesses and organizations in order to boost brand equity and increase profits.
I always try to stay up to date on what's happening in the world of advertising and graphic design. In order to stay up-to-date, I keep myself busy with the following:
Blogging about Graphic Design and advertising
I manage a fairly successful blog dedicated entirely to becoming a better designer. The blog, titled Graphic Design Blender, receives a substantial amount of traffic each month and the content generates some very interesting discussion.
In addition to my design blog, I will soon be revealing a new blog hosted on this very site tha acts as a n outlet for the many things I learn. Writing about design and advertising helps me be a more valuable asset to my clients.
Connecting with professionals via social media
I'm currently an active participant on twitter, facebook, and other social media sites and I love to participate and learn from others via this ever-growing phenomenon. I recently signed up for LinkedIn and I am excited to engage in conversations there. I would love to connect with you online as well.
Avidly reading blogs, magazines, and books
I love to read. In my free time I am constantly staying up to date by reading blogs like Smashing Magazine, AdAge.com, Mashable, and more. I subscribe to and read magazines like Communication Arts and Advertising Age, and I have a great collection of books on the topic of branding, advertising, design, and more. You're also likely to find me at the library checking out a book or two on the subject.
